The Olena Turmeric Ginger, scientifically known as Curcuma domestica, was one of many plants brought by the early Polynesian Settlers to Hawai’i. The Olena (“yellow” in Hawaiian) Turmeric Ginger was named after the bright orange-yellow hue of its rhizome. It is more famously known around the world as Turmeric. It’s consumed more commonly through boiling it in water and drinking it as turmeric tea or added as a spice in dishes all over the world.
The Olena turmeric ginger’s roots are called by many as a “Therapeutic Powerhouse”. It is a superfood that is densely packed with nutrients that does wonders for the human body.
